The Pro Garberator Rodeo

All the top paddlers were still around after a tough season on the Ottawa. Names like EJ, Ken Whiting, Jay Kincaid, Billy Harris, Julie Dion, and others dotted the line-up to put added pressure on those hoping to make the Canadian team. The wave, a flushy, fast and glassy feature accessible only via a quick entry around the famed Moby's Dick... 0 - 60 in .3 seconds!

The competition brought no surprises as those who have been rocking the Ottawa all season long came out on top. For the men's Pro category, Jay Kincaid of the US had the crowd up proving he is indeed the Blunt King. Billy Harris came a close second with Western Canada's James Mole coming in third in front of Ken Whiting who back stabbed his way to the third and final spot on the Canadian team.

The women took to the wave with another US paddler, Polly Green, taking top spot over Canadian Julie Dion. Fanny Gregoire and Tiffany Manchester secured the other two spots on the Canadian team with their impressive handling of the Garb!

Liquid Skills had a very good showing as Kevin Varette's jr development paddlers took top honors in both JR divisions. Congratulations goes out to Laur Cockins and Ashley Courteny for their JR women's performances and Bruce Monkman and Ian Mickel who made the Canadian JR Men's squad!
