THE ITINERARY Sunday Evening Arrive by 8pm at Victoria House (beautiful B&B in Foresters Falls), meeting at 8:30 pm to welcome guests and discuss the itinerary and spend the night at Victoria House. Monday Home-cooked breakfast at Victoria House, paddle the mighty Ottawa and eat lunch on the river. After a long day on the river, we'll head to the Country Kitchen in Cobden for a feast. Watch video of the day back at the Victoria House. Tuesday After a home-cooked breakfast at Victoria House we'll pack our gear up for the road trip paddle the Ottawa (main or middle). We then drive to the Gatineau (1.5 hrs) and have a gourmet meal at the Gatineau Game and Fishing Lodge (near Maniwaki). We spend the night at the lodge (we have rented it exclusively). Wednesday After a home cooked breakfast at the lodge, we'll pack our lunches and head to the river. We'll spend the day on the Upper Gatineau, eating lunch on the river. After taking out, we'll drive into Ottawa (1.5 hrs) for dinner. After dinner we'll continue our travels to Hawkesbury (50 min.) to stay at their Motel. Thursday We eat breakfast at New World Resort and paddle the Rouge (once or twice if you're up for it!). We then drive to Brockville for dinner (2hrs) and stay in nice cedar cottages 5 min. from Brockville Friday In the morning we eat breakfast in Brockville and head to Black River in Watertown (40 min.) where we play at Hole brothers for the morning and eat a picnic lunch. We then paddle through the Black River Canyon (class 3+ with a waterfall) in the afternoon and drive back to Brockville for dinner and stay in cedar cottages again. Saturday We eat breakfast in Brockville and drive to the Petawawa (2.25 hrs) to paddle the Petawawa River. We then head back to Victoria House for a feast and a well-deserved sleep.
