GUIDES/INSTRUCTORS FOR BC RIVER EXPERIENCE The guides/instructors for this trip are long time BC guides and world class paddlers, Paul Harwood and Patch Bennett. Paul's 13 years of paddling have taken him all around the world, including Nepal, Australia, New Zealand, Honduras, Guatemala and across North America. Though Paul began paddling on the Ottawa River and was a 3 time national squirt boating champion, he has focused his past 5 years on exploring the creeks and rivers of western Canada. He now works as a ski patrol/guide in BC during the winter, and teaching for the Liquid Skills Kayak School on the Ottawa in the summer. There are few guides/instructors as qualified and as experienced as Paul. Patch Bennett is originally from England, but since visiting BC on a paddling trip withs some friends 8 years ago, BC has become Patch's home. Since that time, Patch has become one of BC's elite freestyle kayakers, and has won a number of provincial competitions. He also spends a great deal of time teaching paddling and is a contributing editor to Rapid Magazine. Like Paul, Patch is one of the most experienced and qualified guides/instructors around.
