Join our world-class guides and instructors on this road trip from Prairies to the Pacific, as we experience some of the best, most playful, mountain river runs. This is the ultimate trip for the playboater/river runner! We'll travel, eat and sleep in style in between our trips to the Kananaskis river, Kicking Horse, Clearwater River and the mighty Skookumchuk Tidal Rapids. This Trip starts on the Kananaskis River located in Alberta and the Front Ranges of the Canadian Rockies. This is a great warm-up river, and provides the perfect environment for the group to get acquainted and for our guides to bring everyone's skills up to speed. From there, we drive over the continental divide to British Columbia, where the Kicking Horse River flows freely. The Kicking Horse River is a classic western river, providing continuous, playful rapids while winding its way through an awesome canyon. Day Three lands us on the magical Clearwater river, where for 2 days we will surf many of the best waves that BC has to offer. Now that everyone is in a surfing mode, we'll hop on a ferry and make our way to the legendary Skookumchuck Tidal rapids, where we'll spend 2 days surfing the dream waves! Surrounded by the Coast Mountains, Skookumchuk provides a surfing experience like no other, as massive, friendly waves are formed by the changing tide. You'll surfing the biggest, smoothest wave imaginable, while staring down at star fish and being checked out by curious seals and sea lions. The Western/Skookumchuk Experience is designed for any class 3+/4 paddler who has a solid combat roll and the desire to explore and learn. The focus of this trip is on allowing paddlers to experience BC's finest whitewater from a playboater's perspective, while learning the latest play boating and mountain river running techniques.
